Position Overview
In response to the increased need in the health care system, Prairie College of Applied Arts & Technology is increasing enrollments in our Practical Nurse program offered in partnership with Bow Valley College (Calgary, AB).
- Full-time temporary position. November - December 2009
- Hourly Contract Competitive Wage
- Closing date: August 14, 2009 @ 5pm for first shortlist.
- The position will be open until a suitable candidate is found.
Primary Responsibilities
We are currently looking for an experienced Practical Nurse to step into the lab and clinical settings and provide our students with instruction. As a qualified candidate you have been working in an acute care or long-term care setting for a minimum of two years, allowing you to draw on your experience as you train our students. Qualifications
- Must have a Practical Nurse Certificate or Diploma.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in acute care or long-term care setting.
- Applicants must hold a current CLPNA membership.
- CPR Health Care Provider Level and a recent Criminal Record Check are required.
- Teaching experience would be an asset.
- Computer literacy is an asset.
